Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) Intern

LifeLine/ChildLine Namibia is a registered Welfare Organisation and NGO whose purpose is ‘safer, healthier, more resilient children, families and communities in Namibia’. LifeLine/ChildLine has strong child protection and gender programs, providing services to the community through counselling, HelpLines, Capacity Building, Community Outreach and Advocacy. Our programmes are in line with and supportive of Government priorities. LifeLine/ChildLine is supported in these tasks with funding from international donor agencies, as well as local entities.
We are now seeking applications from suitably qualified persons to fill following Internship placement:

Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) Intern
Duty Station: Windhoek

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Intern will be providing support in monitoring and evaluating all LifeLine/ChildLine Namibia projects under the supervision and guidance of the M&E Officer. The incumbent will work alongside the M&E Officer and jointly be responsible for overall M&E and learning needs of the programmes and will come up with findings based on real data to show performance of the programmes. The M&E Team will also help the organisation to strengthen its M&E functions, enhancing flow of information and its management. The Intern reports to the M&E Officer.
Minimum Requirements:

Relevant studies in the social sciences field focussing on Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER)
Knowledge and understanding of project monitoring and evaluation
Understanding of the current M&E trends and especially M&E systems in development organization
Proven experience of Monitoring and evaluation techniques, processes and data collection
Advanced Analytical and research skills
Good command over report writing in English
Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office
Good time management
Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team work ethic
